Collateral Designs
In celebration of Chinese New Year, we partnered with EQ Insurance to create a culturally resonant red packet design for their clients to reflect the brand's identity and incorporating traditional symbols of prosperity, luck, and happiness.
Design with Cultural Sensitivity
Chinese tradition has various taboos, such as avoiding the color black because it symbolizes misfortune. It is also important to steer clear of negative imagery, such as broken items. With these considerations in mind, we designed the red packet in vibrant colors while respecting these cultural nuances.
Modern Calligraphy
The calligraphy embossed on the red packet and other materials features thin strokes and rounded caps. This design choice creates a more distinctive and modern look while still honoring traditional Chinese elements.
